Social hiring platform puts business executives and long-term unemployed people on a race catamaran.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – During America’s Cup Series Oct 4-6, SmartRecruiters will bring together the long-term unemployed and top corporate executives to sail the bay aboard the SmartRecruiters Extreme 40. For every unemployed person, there will be a corporate executive. Those who have been unemployed for over six months will meet the people who can help them get back in the workforce.
By sending executives and the unemployed out to sea in one boat, SmartRecruiters takes a headfirst approach to identifying and rectifying the causes – for talent and company – that create friction in the labor market, such as discrimination against the unemployed.
The SmartRecruiters X40 is a full carbon machine, one of the fastest sailboats on the San Francisco Bay. This catamaran flys. The X40 is capable of hitting 30 knots. SmartRecruiters is proud to share the closest experience to racing in America’s Cup with the San Francisco Bay Area public.
