The audit verifies that SmartRecruiters’ security controls and operations meet SOC 2 Type II standards for data security and privacy

 

San Francisco – January 11, 2023 – SmartRecruiters, the Hiring Success Company, has announced that it has successfully achieved System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2 Type II certification, further demonstrating its commitment to providing the highest levels of security and protection for its global customers’ data. The independent audit, conducted by Sensiba San Filippo, LLP (SSF), was completed with a “clean” audit opinion, indicating that there were no noted exceptions.

SOC 2 is an auditing program developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and is considered the gold standard for sharing independently reviewed information about a service organization’s internal systems and controls. A SOC 2 Type II report evaluates an organization’s ability to protect customer data by assessing the effectiveness of those systems and controls across five categories: security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy, using testing standards from the AICPA Trust Services Criteria.

With an enhanced permission feature in Report Builder, customers can configure access groups by country, brand, department, or any other org field. Once created, report recipients will only see the data relevant to their access groups. Employee Portal Enhancements

Configure Employee Portal

Most customers want a one-stop-shop for Employees to manage anything career-related, but some customers want to use Employee Portal for referrals only, and others want to use it only for internal mobility.

Employer platform now supports “Internal Mobility & Referrals” (default), “Internal Mobility Only,” or “Referrals Only.” Customers can configure their employee platform to support their hiring goals.

Auto-Recognize Employees’ Email Address

Referral incentive programs are a great way to turn your employees into a source of hire but it can be hard to ensure that HR has the info to compensate the referrers fairly.

When employees use the external career site to make a referral and use their company email address, the candidate will be marked as an internal referral and the employee’s information will flow into the referrals dataset. This way the recruiter knows the candidate is an internal referral and the referrer gets compensated in the case that their referral is successful. When employee email addresses are auto-recognized for internal referrals, recruiters can identify the source of referral to initiate the correct hiring processes and save time in matching referrals to employees.

Application Status Badges

Recruiters and sourcers need an easy way to see if prospects are already active in the hiring process. This may determine whether a campaign is relevant to them.

Prospects who have previously been hired or who have active applications will stand out on the community list tab with respective badges. Danish Language Addition

Manually advertising on job boards may not yield the best results in terms of the quantity and quality of candidates. Customers who post jobs in the UK can now purchase ad-hoc programmatic job advertising the same way they can purchase single advertisements through SmartRecruiters’ Job Board Marketplace.

With Boost, job ads will be automatically surfaced on boards where they are most likely to get high-volume traffic that’s relevant. When previously released in North America, boosted jobs saw candidate volume rise by over 200% and boosted candidates were 150% more likely to make it to the interview, offer, or hire stage.

It adds a wide range of capabilities that provide candidates with a better experience and enhances both the recruiter and hiring manager’s ability to attract, select, and hire top talent at scale.

Earlier this quarter, we announced SmartOnboard, a new product that helps enterprises deliver a seamless onboarding experience for new hires. We’re excited to introduce 55 more features across the SmartRecruiters Talent Acquisition Suite with new automation capabilities, analytics enhancements, improved search, data import and integration improvements, support for four new languages, and updates to Employee Portal, SmartCRM, and SmartPal

As part of today’s release, we’ve also added highly requested new capabilities to the Employee Portal to improve consistency in candidate selection and streamline interview coordination through automated interview scheduling. Highlights are below.

Employee Experience

Without a good understanding of internal career development, employees can feel unsupported and that they don’t have a long-term place in a business. This can lead to low employee retention and satisfaction rates. 

SmartRecruiters’ Employee Portal supports internal mobility and eliminates the need for organizations to purchase a stand-alone piece of technology. It easily allows employees to find their next career opportunity.

With today’s release, we’ve added two key enhancements to the Employee Portal. First, we made the hiring manager and recruiter name fields visible. This allows employees to better understand which team and manager they’d be working for to evaluate fit and know which recruiter to reach out to for more information on the job. The second update we made now displays referrals for both internal and external jobs. This new functionality can significantly increase the number of employee referrals. 

Candidate Selection

When hiring teams don’t standardize interview plans, they don’t have the correct information to make good hiring decisions. Hiring someone who isn’t a good fit for the role or the company is costly and hurts business performance. It often leads to attrition, and hiring teams must start again. 

To help hiring teams overcome this challenge, we created standardized review processes that ensure all interviewers are aligned to create a quantitative standard for candidate evaluation and to make better hiring decisions. Interview scorecards help hiring managers clarify role requirements and enable interviewers to have structure and consistency for assessing talent. This ultimately helps drive better hiring decisions. 

This quarter’s update allows users to re-order the scorecard criteria at the job level so that they can tailor the order of scorecards to fit the flow and structure they have planned for the job interview. This further helps create structure for those conducting the interviews.

Automated Interview Scheduling

When scheduling an interview, candidates want the freedom to choose their own appointment. Traditionally, scheduling is a very time-consuming process for coordinators. When the process takes too long for the candidate, they are more likely to drop out of the application process and be hired by the competition. 

To reduce workload for HR teams and create a fast and simple scheduling process for candidates, we have made impactful updates to the scheduling experience within SmartRecruiters. Candidates can now self-schedule interviews to reduce the administrative load on recruiters and generate faster hiring outcomes.

The addition of a Swedish office will help the company strengthen its local presence with plans to add staff across the Nordic region in Finland, Denmark, and Norway. First, in an effort to make Employee Portal more intelligent, referrals are now supported within the Employee Portal. Employees can refer candidates and track them through the hiring process. This significant internal mobility feature gives recruiters more tools to place top talent in relevant jobs and gives employees a reason to engage with the Employee Portal. 

The company also announced advancements to scale offer management. Users can more easily manage hundreds of different types of offers and offer clauses, saving large enterprise customers additional time in hiring.

Following up on the manual assignment feature improvements last quarter, the company announced its platform is now able to help recruiters drive efficiency and productivity by enabling scorecards to be assigned to jobs automatically. Not only does this reduce the manual effort of repeatedly assigning scorecards, but it ensures hiring consistency and reduces bias. 

Busy and on-the-go hiring managers and recruiters can now get things done faster with fewer taps in the mobile app. Redesigned job list and job details pages improve user navigation and findability. Recruiters can easily take action on relevant jobs without navigating back and forth.

A new bulk user upload feature makes it easier for recruiters to add, edit, and remove users from the system. They can now upload local CSVs containing user data and match it to SmartRecruiters’ preexisting columns.

As recruitment marketing continues to be a growing focus for companies everywhere, users can now import jobs from SmartRecruiters directly into their Attrax career site. Further, the total search function within these career sites is now able to detect location from anywhere in the world and use it to pre-populate relevant search results.
