Unless an applicant has a compelling reason for wanting to work in a startup, they might lack the creativity, drive, vision and resourcefulness you\u2019re looking for. An easy starting point is to look for people who already have entrepreneurial experience \u2013 and don\u2019t forget to ask about their own startup projects.<\/p>\n

Hire versatile people<\/h2>\n

Rather than hiring someone with a fixed skill set, look for a jack-of-all-trades. You want intellectually curious fast learners who aren\u2019t afraid of leaving their comfort zones.
